Eating club

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the United States of America, Eating clubs are a form of social club in universities that date to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, where college students can enjoy meals and pleasant discourse. Replaced largely by the modern fraternity and sorority system, eating clubs are now limited to a few universities, most notably Princeton University in the United States.

Such clubs have a far longer history in the United Kingdom, where they are referred to as dining clubs.
