Bill Frist

I left a rationale for the upcoming edits on the talk page last week, and was following up on them. The removal of the information, including what I though were some pretty strong WP:BLP violations, were all explained. Torturous Devastating Cudgel 20:55, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Fedor Edits

Thanks, dude. I appreciate your help. I suspect a few decent Wikipedia pages will contribute to the broader project of easing MMA through the transition to legitimacy. Have you seen the Rickson Gracie page? It makes him sound approximately as real as Paul Bunyan.Aptninjajefferson 20:06, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Rap ghostwriting

Hi, the lede of an article summarizes the content of the article. Nowhere in the ghostwriting article is there any reference to ghostwriting of hip-hop music. Do you have a source? Nazamo 19:32, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Fedor Emelianenko

I have replied on this article's talk page. Thanks. --Ryan Delaney talk 21:19, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for the barnstar!!! -claudevsq 09:05, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Asmir Begovic page

Thanks for your help. Please keep an eye on this Prophecy, she again removed the legal country of birth but I put it back. Thanks. Sanjack 16:41, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

MMA Wikiproject

How can we get this project going? It seems so dead. There are only a few participants that I see making contributions. Any ideas? Sancho 18:56, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi! This is a good image. Can you include a copy of your correspondence with the author in the description, just to make sure that copyright nuts don't delete it? Thanks! --Ryan Delaney talk 19:13, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

UFC 73

Hi East718, since I think you do such a good job on the mixed martial arts articles, I thought I'd share, if you didn't happen to catch UFC 73, it is available here. (Better quality will be available on that site later.) (I recommend Azureus.)--Ty580 10:55, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I'll keep an eye out, thanks for the tip. --Ty580 21:21, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Rashad Evans

I thought Wikipedia was supposed to be reliable. Here's an example about padded records. The Ford Field was said to have hosted 93,173 people at Wrestlemania 3. Which of course isn't true, as it has never set that many. Many sources have said this. However, people still revert any edits regarding it. Now if Rashad's record is padded, still doesn't change the fact that your guys guidelines is in a bit of a mess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PotSmoker346 (talk • contribs)

Check the edit history, it was just changed to 78,000 but the users have been fighting over it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PotSmoker346 (talk • contribs)

Re: State terrorism by the United States

Sorry if I mixed up the edits...it seems we were editing the page at the same time.--MONGO 22:07, 9 July 2007 (UTC) Also, I think the article needs a lot of work before we get too serious about stylistic issues...please contribute to the talk page because I beleieve almost any improvements will be difficult to make until we can get the article more stable.--MONGO 22:10, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I like to keep talk discussion intact...they become difficult for even me to follow if they are back and forth from one talk page to another. No one can make any sense of the refs...this is what happesn when you are dealing with this kind of article...I really do recommmend working on content first before we get into stylistic issues...seriously...but if you can straighten out the refs, have at it.--MONGO 22:17, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
Did you revert yourself because of 3RR? Obviously we had agreement about deleting those sources, so User:ThAtSo's edit was not really a good one. I think I can revert back to the previous version without violating 3RR but I'll have to check.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 07:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Okay, sounds good.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 07:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Kimbo Slice & stubborn editor

MMAfan2007 continues to argue and make changes to Kimbo Slice's MMA record. I have supplied significant credible sources to show that it was an exhibition, but he won't back down. If he continues making the changes can I warn him for vandalism? Is there anyone I can report him to or anything? This is getting kind of old. If you can provide any info or help it's appreciated. Thanks, Thesaddestday 23:10, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Allegations of State Terrorism ...

I have reviewed a three revert rule complaint regarding your editing today on Allegations of state terrorism by the United States. In reviewing the complaint, I see that several of your edits have related to seeking good sources for the article and that you have engaged in discussion on the talkpage. In future editing, please continue to be mindful of the 3RR and avoid anything that could be considered edit-warring. Thanks, Newyorkbrad 18:09, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your note. I think we are okay. Regards, Newyorkbrad 18:27, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

help at state terrorism

The Original Barnstar
For leading the editors at State terrorism by the United States‎ towards a great improvement of the article, when many others have simply walked away or haven't had time to help. Sancho 08:17, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

CFFC 5 & 6

I wanted to check with someone else to see what was thought otherwise... I feel that Cage Fury Fighting Championships 5 and Cage Fury Fighting Championships 6 aren't notable enough events to warrant articles. Sure Kimbo Slice vs Ray Mercer and Kimbo vs Tank Abbott are interesting bouts, but the promotions is pretty low-end/small time. I just feel that major events can make for notable articles but these specific events, and similar small shows, don't feature enough notable information to hold their own. The tiny bit of notable info could be placed on a single page dedicated to the organization instead of mimicking PRIDE and UFC pages. What do you think? Thesaddestday 04:39, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Happy travels

Just wanted to wish you well and say that I hope you have a great vacation and enjoy your time offline (countries without Internet access are often good spots to go to, for obvious reasons). Just out of curiosity--and if its too intrusive of a question and you don't want to answer please feel free to delete this comment--are you in Queens, Brooklyn, or the Bronx (or Shaolin)? Given the numeric portion of your username (and your apparent interest in, and I assume love for, Illmatic--which gives you major credibility in my book) I assume you live in/are from one of these boroughs. Just curious cause I live in Brooklyn, though I'm not from here. No rush to respond if you're offline for awhile. Anyhow, thanks for all your work on the article we've been working on, and have a great trip!--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 08:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

I've listened to the purple tape more times than I can count, although via CD and thus my listening experience has not been as truly "purple" as Rae and Ghost may have intended it. I teach undergrad history up in the Boogie Down, but am not really familiar with the area. Anyhow, have a great vacation, and see ya around.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 08:43, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Lehman College actually, I'm a doctoral student myself but have also taught (at Lehman) the last couple of years which has been great. I'm teaching a class called "Hip-Hop and the Urban Crisis" in the fall which is part of why I need to get of the damn Wiki and get to work!--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 08:53, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi East

I was going to drop you a message anyway. I can see no consensus on the article talk page to move to the weasel-worded title; if you can point me to one I'll gladly move it back. Best wishes, --John 21:56, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

I beg your pardon; I mistook the move for vandalism. I think it's a lousy title but I'll move it back. --John 21:59, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: Boxing champs

Thanks for the link, but Pongsaklek's title lost was not there yet now... We'll see! Claudevsq 13:54, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I've seen now... For July 14, they list only Kermit Cintron and Steve Molitor... no Montiel, no Margarito, no nothing!!! Forget that site, I think! Claudevsq 14:25, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am actually the author of UFCDaily.com and aim to keep Wikipedia updated with regards to the MMA community. I believe I have an account but I will definitely sign up to the MMA project. Thanks for the warm welcome, I look forward to using my MMA knowledge to keep this project updated. Thanks again!

List of current world...

OK, you added VK, that's alright with me, but I removed the date because it doesn't really play a role... Hill may still be in recess, but thumbs up you didn't add it again, too much numbers, too confusing... ;-) Anyway, Hill's got to fight Arslan until October 15th, then, there will only be a WBA regular champion in CW instead of 1 recess and 1 interim. Friendly greetings, Claudevsq 07:08, 22 July 2007 (UTC) KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

@east.718: As the WBC only lists Mayweather as Emeritus Champion, and not Klitschko nor Tszyu anymore, I removed Klitschko... Feel free to revert... Anyway, Vitali will soon be the regular WBC champ. Friendly greetings, Claudevsq 14:42, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
(I know this is old, but I dunno if you've seen it, i wrote it on my own discussion page. You said you were going to be away, but somehow, you still seem to be lingerin' around... ;-)))) Claudevsq 18:35, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Vitali Klitschko

I just got confirmed that VK is NOT the WBC Emeritus Champion anymore. Greetings, Claudevsq 16:12, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

OK, sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Claudevsq (talkcontribs)

Pérez

I thought the boxer Luis Alberto Perez was spelled without an "é", not like the Cuban Olympian... but hey, you know the spanish language better than me. ;-) Claudevsq 12:21, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
