Talk:Eastern Townships
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have copied this information into Estrie. Doesn't it make more sense there? Wetman 17:15, 24 Dec 2003 (UTC)
- I think it's good to have it at both places, as Estrie is a fairly new creation, and the Eastern Townships are very well known and often referenced, especially in the anglophone community.
There is no mention of where the 'Western Townships' are. Andrew Luimes70.24.71.154 21:15, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Map
Thanks for leaving it here. I would never have found it under Estrie. A better map with some of the towns and rivers marked would be very helpful. Ben 10:52, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Conrad Black
I put the comment on Conrad Black in this section because he got his start in this area and is therefore a "notable inhabitant." I didn't want to make too much of it (downfall) because it would appear to be undue weight, which I abhor.
Also, I didn't invest the comment on the composition of the area. It was a quote. It might not belong in demographics but probably belongs somewhere unless you can come up with a better one. Perhaps the writer meant the Anglophones. I don't know what was in his mind. You were annoyed but most areas don't have spontaneous summaries that are interesting like that, accurate or not. It makes the article unique. Student7 (talk) 20:23, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
