[edit] OT canon

How does the festal letter's OT canon compare to the Christian canons of today? Jonathan Tweet 05:08, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

The letter's OT canon is the same as today's Christian canon as far as content. the number of books differs from our OT number of books because we count the Torah as five books (Gen,Ex,Lev,Num,Deut) whereas the letter counts the Torah as 1 book. This happens again where the minor prophets are 12 books in the Christian canon and the minor prophets are counted as 1 book in the letter and so on.
