This article says that meƤnkieli is an eastern Finnish dialect. Here is a map that says the opposit, the Finnish language in the most northern parts of Sweden is a Western Finnish dialect. [1] / Habj 23:11, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
- I'd say that meƤnkieli is part of the northern dialects (pohjoismurteet) of finnish. The northern dialects are more west finnish origin than east. --Icepenguin 12:06, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
