Talk:East Elmhurst, Queens
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am drastically cutting this down because this is an entry that is colloquial, running on unverified claims, and it potentially even borderline racist.
[edit] PROTECTED? HA!
"The neighborhood of East Elmhurst is located in Community Board 3 [1] and is protected by the New York Police Department's 115th Precinct." this statement is a bit biased. depending on who youre talking to, you can say that this neighbourhood is either protected or threatened by the 115.
[edit] Vandalized
whoever Lesko99 and the person with ip address 165.155.208.146 are, they did a real number on this page. going on about dominoes pizza and dunkin donuts.. and self answering questions like
Why did you decide to move to East Elmhurst? People decided to move to East Elmhurst because the transportation is better. Why did people leave their country? People left their country to get a better life because maybe there were problems with jobs and poverty
on a side note, i agree that the 115th precinct is spurious to say the least, but oh well...
[edit] no mention of Villa Rosado or the tennis courts on 89th st?
i dont know much about him except he was a prominent buisness man in the area and owned Bruno's on the Boulevard and the tennis courts before they were sold and the land was used to make homes. he also had the largest property on 89th st and astoria blvd, you probably recognized it as the property with huge front yard and tall trees. though unfortunately a few years ago some greedy buisness man bought the property, cut down the trees and made a building...essentially kiling the soul of the neighborhood.
someone should research this! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.5.216 (talk) 07:47, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
