[edit] Name

Who named the city? Emigrants from East Germany? --Aleph-4 (talk) 09:55, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Most likely there is a Berlin, Pennsylvania somewhere to the west. Just a guess. Dincher (talk) 13:07, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Berlin, PA is indeed west of East Berlin, PA, but more than 100 miles (170 km) away (as the crow flies), and 149 miles when driving on the PA turnpike. If that is the reason, then Pittsburgh, PA, (which is closer to Berlin, PA that East Berlin, PA) should be called "West Berlin". :-) -- Aleph-4 (talk) 13:33, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
