[edit] New Shilling?

Any news about what kind of value the new shilling will have? Will it be set at a high enough value for 1-cent coins, for example? Nik42 02:24, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

AFAIK, the *only* thing we currently know is that it's planned to be introduced by 2009. ā€”Nightstallion (?) 09:45, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Coin table

I have validated the variation and date of the first 3 tables using my 2004 catalog. --ChoChoPK (ēƒēƒPK) (talk | contrib) 08:19, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Call for reversion

The recent changes, which were not discussed before implementation, have created an unnecessary mess. This article (currently called "old") is about the only East African shilling to have existed. No other currencies which share their name and circulation area use "new" and "old" to split them in to separate articles and there is no reason to do it with this article. At the very least, this article should be called "East African shilling" whilst the other article could be called "East African shilling (proposed)" or reincorporated in a complete reversion. Either way, discussion is needed. Unfortunately, by editing East African shilling after the move, an editing nightmare has been created.
