[edit] Characters

AP, if you're out there, I want your opinion. Trampikey included several character profiles for Flahertys that didn't even have a speaking part. The images are pretty lame for them too and there's barely anything to say about them (like Carl, Kylie and John). Should we put those in an others table at the bottom?

Also, should we have the family section on all of them? Gungadin 21:59, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

We don't need the family sections, just a link somewhere to the Beale family page, or maybe a family tree? An others table sounds like a better idea. Do you want me to restore the character images? I've already done one, but thought I'd check here first before I do more! anemoneprojectors 22:08, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes please. Can you undelete them all, except Carl, Kylie and John. I may orphan a few, but I cant remember who some of them are until I see them. That's a good idea about the family tree. I'll try it out here and see how it looks. Shall I just use the Beale one, or do we have a separate Flaherty one somewhere?Gungadin 22:15, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

If the whole family tree is no good, try this:

See
Beale family

Sean

Maggie

Hehehehehehehe!!! I'll undelete the other images now, they'll need cleaning up though. anemoneprojectors 22:29, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

I just realised there are siblings missing. I can fix it if you can't. The Beale family image needs updating as well! anemoneprojectors 22:32, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

This one is better:

That's brilliant, thanks for doing all that. I'll cleanup the page and add it in.Gungadin 22:53, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Can I do my version of a cleanup first? see what you think? anemoneprojectors 22:55, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Aww you edit conflicted me! :( anemoneprojectors 22:59, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
sorry about that, Yeh I like it.Gungadin 23:04, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Yay! I did something good! If you keep it like that, I'm going to create a redirect Flaherty family. anemoneprojectors 23:08, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

good idea, I dont plan to change it, so go ahead.I'll work on the content and 'others box' now.Gungadin 23:11, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Ooh I feel all funny. In a good way! anemoneprojectors 23:16, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Character infoboxes on this page.

I think we can keep the information in the infoboxes to a minimum here. I've already removed the first and last dates, as they were all the same, and the dates are in the opening paragraph of the article. Could we also remove the year, and replace the family part with a link to the Beale family article? Or leave it out altogether, as they're in the Flaherty family section anyway, so we know they're family, and there's a family tree and a link to the Beale family page to explain it. And we should use the original infobox, not the new one. anemoneprojectors 23:04, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm fine with all of that. The only reason I can think the detail should stay is for those people who follow redirects to get here and dont read the rest of the article, but actually, who cares?! Gungadin 23:26, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
They should be interested to know what "EastEnders episodes in Ireland" refers to if they followed a redirect here. I would be. anemoneprojectors 18:42, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
I disagree, the dates should be kept as they are not all the same, and infoboxes are there to be filled with as much information as possible. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 01:35, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm not too bothered about the dates, but as they're all members of the same family, I think it's pointless having family sections and a long list of family in the infobox. There's a family tree at the top, and an article for the Beale family. anemoneprojectors 14:38, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
I agree, no family sections. You can alwasy include every family relationship in infoxox 2 if you want, so at least they will be hidden in the drop menu, but it just looks messy at the moment. The others table for the non-speaking minor characters should also be returned. They dont need infoboxes for one sentence of text.Gungadin 14:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Maggieflaherty.jpg

Image:Maggieflaherty.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
