[edit] Indonesia

This map has fatal mistake. Kediri is a Javanese Kingdom, centered in Kediri East Java. While this map shows Kediri located at Southern Thailand in peninsular area.

agree, Kediri is a Javanese Kingdom.. by the way, was Andaman and Nicobar Islands belong to Srivijaya? I never heard or read about that, even in Srivijaya article of English Wikipedia Mimihitam 12:42, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

No map mistakes are fatal; if you have proof of a mistake, just let me know how it's wrong and provide source info to back it up. If you've got that, I'm happy and able to correct it. The info on these maps have been derived from various sources, whether Wikipedian or otherwise. For Srivijaya, I got the borders of Srivijaya from its article. It looks like you may be right about Kediri; I thing I mis-named it. Could you send me info to help correct it? I can get it fixed as soon as I have that info. Thank you in advance, Thomas Lessman 15:24, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ghaznavids

I got the borders of the Ghaznavids from a map I found on Google. It didn't show the Ghaznavids ruling Kirman (Kerman?) or Mukran or Kusdar. Did the Ghaznavids rule those lands? Thomas Lessman 15:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

I think the Buyids still ruled in Fars and there was an independent Emirate of Kerman around that time, but I can't find any sources for Mukran (what is the modern name of that city?) and Kusdar (ditto). What were your sources for those? Also, were the Kakuyids the ones in control of Kerman around this time?Rcduggan (talk) 13:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
The map shows Fars and Kerman, it just doesn't list them as Buyids or Kakuyids. I believe it was the Buyids in control of both at this time. My sources are a few maps of Mahmud's Ghaznavid Sultanate and neighbors. The borders are based on maps like this one [1]. I haven't been able to find any other real evidence of a "Mukran" or a "Kusdar" except in the maps I used as sources. If you have any better information, please let me know and I'll fix the maps! Respectfully, Thomas Lessman (talk) 18:06, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] More mistakes

I found a mistake of the map, that is the mis-speling of Champa, in the map it was written "Champa Kngdom" Mimihitam 13:59, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

I actually abbreviated "Kingdom" to Kngdms" on purpose, so it would fit within the text block better. Many of my maps have "Kngdm" or "King." in place of "Kingdom", or "C" for "County", etc. so the names will fit better. On some maps I even had to abbreviate the names of some countries (eg, "Pom" instead of "Pomerania"). It was unfortunate, but necessary due to space restrictions. [edit] Kievan Russian Federation

What a funny name??? Wasnt it simply Kievan Rus? Where did you get "Russian Federation"?--133.41.84.206 20:05, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm. I thought I remembered seeing that in one of my source maps, and I remember when I drew this map thinking of how the Rus acted more like a federation than a unified state. However, looking back over my source maps, I see that they actually call it the Kievan Rus Principality. Thank you for pointing out this error, and I'll fix/upload it during my next update cycle. [edit] ==Kidan Empire==

Thank you for creating interesting maps of the world histroy. I've been using your maps in article History of Mongolia. The Kidan Empire or Liao Dynasty also covered eastern half of what it now Mongolia. There are remainings of cities and fortresses built by the Kidans in the east of Mongolia. Can you please reflect these parts of the Kidan Empire in your map? Gantuya eng (talk) 09:50, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Hi Gantuya eng. I'd be happy to expand the borders of the Khitan Empire/Liao Dynasty if they are incorrect. Can you show me a map or an article that has the correct borders, so I know where to re-draw them? I'm planning to upload a much improved version of 1025 AD next week, so your timing is perfect! [edit] Hungary?

Surely it shouldn't be "King of Hungary"? Unless the land controlled by the King of Hungary was referred to as a part of himself, I'm sure it is "Kingdom of Hungary". The same goes for Poland. If it won't fit at least put "King." to show it is shortened. - Oisin(Message) 18:48, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chiang Kingdom

The small kingdom (or I'm assuming that's what it is) north of Tibet, called "Chiang." I have never heard of that, do you have any information on it? Rcduggan (talk) 16:31, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
