Eastover is a town in Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 1,376 at the 2000 census. It was incorporated on July 25, 2007.[3]

(35.095278, -78.786556).According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.1 square miles (10.5 km²), all of it land.
[edit] Demographics
As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,376 people, 566 households, and 386 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 339.9 people per square mile (131.2/km²). There were 621 housing units at an average density of 153.4/sq mi (59.2/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 82.78% White, 12.72% African American, 1.74% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 1.45% from other races, and 1.16% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.49% of the population.
There were 566 households out of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 11.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.8% were non-families. 28.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.32 and the average family size was 2.83.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 21.1% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 27.1% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 85.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.6 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $33,365, and the median income for a family was $48,625. Males had a median income of $31,515 versus $23,529 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $18,320. About 6.2% of families and 8.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 11.3% of those under age 18 and 18.6% of those age 65 or over.

Salem Methodist is located at 2165 Middle Rd, in the heart of Eastover. It is the largest Methodist Church in the Eastover area and has a fast growing Children's Ministry Program. Services are held every Sunday at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m., with Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Dr. William (Bill) Snotherly and Rev. Mary Frances McClure lead the congregation.
