Eastlake Football Club is a semi-professional Australian rules football club based in the inner-south of Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory.

The Demons, as they are nicknamed, compete in the AFL Canberra competition, and have been fairly successful in recent times, although in 2005 they finished 5th, missing the finals.

Their best players include Julian Farkas (recently retired, moving into a coaching role) and Nathan Clark, who has previously had a short stint playing with professional AFL club, the Brisbane Lions.

[edit] Alex Jesaulenko

Alex Jesaulenko is the most famous player to play for Eastlake. In the late 1960's, Alex went to Melbourne and linked up with the Carlton football club, who he captain-coached to a premiership. He was later included in the AFL team of the century.

Phil Carman is possibly the most infamous player to play for Eastlake. He was suspended for head-butting an umpire whilst playing for Eastlake as captain-coach.

Former Brisbane player, now playing for The Sydney Swans. Named co-captain for the 2008 Swans season.
