[edit] Daily Schedule

The school runs on a block scheduling system. There are 5 periods each day. Each period (excluding the fifth) lasts for eighty minutes. The third period is split into three sub-periods. The student has lunch for one of these periods and class for the other two. The fifth period is a 30 minute study hall which rotates every day between the students' first four periods. For example, students will go back to their period A class for period E on Monday, their period B class for period E on Tuesday, etc..

[edit] Alma Mater

The ELCO Alma Mater was written by former math teacher Harold Yeagley and his wife, June.

To Thee dear Alma Mater
We lift our hearts in song,
The knowledge and the glories,
The victories go on.

We honor and revere thee,
Recalling days gone bye,
Our memories live for evermore,
To Thee dear ELCO High.

[edit] Other Schools in the District

Apart from the high school, there are four elementary schools and one 6-8 grade middle school. The four elementary schools are located in Schaefferstown, Myerstown, Jackson Township, and Newmanstown (referred to as Fort Zeller Elementary School), and the middle school is located on the same campus as the high school.
