East Williamston

East Williamston is a village, parish and community in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is situated in the south of the county, 4 km west of Saundersfoot. The parish includes the villages of Cold Inn and Broadmoor . The community had a population of 1787 in 2001. With the community of Jeffreyston, it makes up the Pembrokeshire ward of East Williamston, which had a population of 2327 in 2001, with 11% Welsh speakers.
It was originally a chapelry of the parish of Begelly. Part of Little England beyond Wales, it has been essentially English-speaking for 900 years.
The parish had an area of 588 Ha. Its census populations were: 341 (1801): 551 (1851): 397 (1901): 387 (1951): 473 (1981).
The percentage of Welsh speakers was 5 (1891): 12 (1931): 3 (1971).
