East Texas Regional Airport (IATA: GGG, ICAO: KGGG) is a public airport located eight miles south of Longview, Texas. The airport has 2 runways.
GGG is mostly used for general aviation but is also served by American Airlines/American Eagle.
GGG has two FBO's, Stebbins Aviation and KRS Aviation.[citation needed]
The airport has been designated as an alternative landing site for the Space Shuttle.[citation needed]
It is also the home Airport of LeTourneau University Flight Training Department. LeTourneau constitutes a very large portion of the airport traffic and has a multitude of airplanes from Cessna 172s to Beechcraft Duchesses and Diamond DA-42 Twinstars. All LeTourneau Cessna 172s have tail numbers ending in "LU".[citation needed]
The GGG symbol comes from its prior name, Gregg County Airport, as it is located in Gregg County, Texas.
