East Point, Dublin

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

East Point is an area of reclaimed land, part of East Wall, close to Dublin Port in Dublin, Ireland. It is usually used in the context of the large and economically significant East Point Business Park, built on that land.

East Point is located in the Dublin 3 postal district. The area is not clearly or officially defined [1], and the term has no historical record. The term is not commonly understood to include the Dublin Port area.

To the north, an arm of Dublin Bay divides East Point from Clontarf and the Tolka River separates it from the rest of East Wall. To the west, East Point does not extend further than the Alfie Byrne Road/East Wall Road intersection.

(Only Dublin has postal district numbers at all; no postal codes are used in the rest of the country).
