From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The East Midlands Designer Outlet, run by the company McArthur Glen, is a shopping complex of 70 stores located at South Normanton, Derbyshire in the East Midlands, just off Junction 28 of the M1. 14 million people live within a 90 minute drive of the centre and 2.7 million shoppers visit each year. There is parking capacity for 1,200 vehicles.

Brands represented in the outlet include Calvin Klein Jeans, Next Clearance, Marks & Spencer Outlet, Clarks, Revlon, Jaeger, Mexx, adidas and Gap.

The centre was partially destroyed by fire in October 2004 but was relaunched successfully in August 2005 with a campaign called 'Ready'. Marketing Manager Shaun Rhodes won a Purple Apple Merit Award for the campaign in February 2006.

The complex was formerly called McArthur Glen Outlet Village Derbyshire and McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Mansfield.
