East Kutai Regency

East Kutai Regency or by Indonesian: Kutai Timur (abbrev. Kutim) is a regency of East Kalimantan province, Indonesia. It has an area of 35.747,50 km²[1] and population 169.564 people (2004)[2]. Sengata is the capital of the regency.
The regency is subdivided into 18 subdistricts.[1]
There are several coal mining companies has concession around this regency, including Kaltim Prima Coal, one of the largest coal mining company in Indonesia.
