East Jefferson High School is a public high school located in Metairie in unincorporated Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States.

East Jefferson High School was built in 1955 in a residential neighborhood. The school, which serves grades 9-12, is a part of Jefferson Parish Public Schools system.

Otis Smith (football) is a former American football cornerback, and current a current defensive assistant coach for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

Randy Hilliard was an American football defensive back who played for three teams with the National Football League.

Neil Reed (basketball) was most recognized for his choking incident with coach Bob Knight while attending Indiana University. Locals consider him one of the greatest in New Orleans metro history. He was named Louisiana Player of the Year in 1994 and was a two-time state MVP.

Matthew Brunson is the bass player for Kingdom of Sorrow and former guitarist for Shedding Old Skin. He attended the school, but graduated elsewhere.

Rock Whittington is the guitarist for New Orleans based band Punch People, and former guitarist for Equal Vision Records band Damiera.

Neil Benard is the drummer for New Orleans based band Slang Angus, and for New Orleans based band Punch People.

Joseph Winn was drafted 275 overall pick by the Chicago Whitesox in the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft.

Marty Wetzel class of 1977 played for the New York Jets.

Ricky Chapagrall and Ronnie Chapagrall, class of 1975, wrote the Bleu Raeders Cadence, a derivative of the East Jeff Cadence (which they also wrote). David Arthur wrote the melodic parts (East Jeff Class of 1977). This cadence was used by the Championship Bleu Raeders Drum and Bugle Corps. This cadence is used by L.S.U. and Ole Miss Universities. Also by school and colleges along the Gulf Coast.
