East End Health is a UK registered charity which works on issues related to health. The charity currently works in the areas of Childhood Nutrition and Healthy Ageing.
East End Health is a partner of the Soil Association who are a UK membership organisation with charitable status which sets standards for organic food and farming, promotes organic products to consumers and advocates and campaigns for organic food.
According to their website: "East End Health was established in 1982 as the Walker Health Project with the aim of tackling health inequalities in the east end of Newcastle. In 2001 the charity became known as the East End Community Health Project and more recently as East End Health. We now act as an umbrella organisation to a number of projects set up to tackle health inequalities."
