The East End Brewing Company is a microbrewery located between the Point Breeze and Homewood neighborhoods of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States. It is owned and operated by brewmaster Scott Smith. The brewery prides itself for being an environmentally friendly operation. Their flagship brew, the Big Hop IPA is available on tap in many bars and restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. In addition to the four active year-round beers, there is a Session Ale series of one time batches,[1] and several seasonal beers. While the brewery is not a brewpub, growlers, bottles and other merchandise are available for purchase at the brewery during "Growler Hours", which currently (April 2008) run four days a week.
