East Downtown is a district in Houston, Texas, United States. The East Downtown Management District manages the area.

The community is located east of Downtown Houston and north of Interstate 45 (Gulf Freeway).

As of 2008 the namethedistrict.com website is asking for suggestions for a new name for the district.
