The East African Black Mud Turtle (Pelusios subniger) is a species of turtle in the Pelomedusidae family. It is found in Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gambia, Guadeloupe, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Sao Tomé and Principe, Seychelles, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
