[edit] History
The airline, after a year long process succeeded in getting its operating licence in November 2005. It intends to launch with a fleet of 181-seat Boeing 737s, after negotiations with Fokker on the purchase of a number of Fokker 100s fell through. Fares are expected to be up to 10-15% cheaper than competitors.[2]
In May 2008, the airline announced orders for 8 Fokker 100's and 4 Ilyushin Il-96.
In 2008, Iran Air successfully handed over its promised Boeing 747-100 to EaseOn Air on lease. However, the airline said in an Iranian newspaper that they were getting concerned with Emirates Airline as the Arab airline delaying the arrival of the promised A340's to EaseOn.
