Earthstorm is a SciFi Pictures Original Movie directed by Terry Cunningham, written by Michael Konyves, and starring Stephen Baldwin. It was released in 2006 and premiered on the SciFi Channel early in 2007.

An asteroid hits the Moon, generating a crack in the structure of the Earth satellite. Chunks of the Moon start to hit Earth, several early portions land in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, and a Shuttle mission, Perseus, is sent to mend the crack, using a nuclear magnetic device. The National Aeronautic and Space Administration is portrayed as the "American Space Institute [ A. S. I. ]". [1]
