The title Earl of Deloraine was created in the Peerage of Scotland in 1706 for Lord Henry Scott, a son of the 1st Duke of Monmouth and a grandson of King Charles II, along with the titles Viscount of Hermitage and Lord Goldielands. The titles became extinct in 1807 upon the death of the 4th Earl.
