Earl Warren High School is located in San Antonio, Texas. [1]
The school is a part of the Northside Independent School District. As with all Northside ISD schools, it is named for a former United States Supreme Court justice - in this case, former Chief Justice Earl Warren.
The Warren Warriors baseball and football teams made it to the playoffs in 2006 for the first time in school history. Also in 2006 the Warren Warriors Academic Decathlon Team made it to State competition for the first time in school history.
On November 7, 2006 only 400 students out of 3,000 showed up to class, after gun threats were made on the popular online community MySpace.
At the 2006 graduation, a senior was removed from the ceremony for waving her hands to a friend. The school district handbook states: "students who raise their hands above their waists for any reasons other than receiving the diplomas or shaking hands may be removed from the graduation ceremony."
