William Irvin Potteiger (born January 11, 1891 in Reading, Pennsylvania) was a professional American football running back and coach. Potteiger played professionally in both baseball and football and coached professionally in basketball, baseball and football. He is most famous as a player-coach for the New York Giants when they won their first NFL championship in 1927.
