  • Home of the AAAA Sr. Girls Volleyball Provincial Championships

[edit] Wheelhouse Theatre

The Wheelhouse Theatre is a 290-seat proscenium theatre located at Earl Marriott Secondary School. It is the largest performing arts theatre within the Semiahmoo Peninsula. The Wheelhouse's primary usage is as a classroom and training facility for students wishing to pursue theatre, and its secondary usage is as a well-equipped and affordable rental house to the community. It is managed by the school and its Theatre Department Head (as of June 2007, Rick Harmon), as well as by the Wheelhouse Theatre Society, a collaboration of community volunteers mandated to raise funds for, and contribute necessary equipment purchases to the theatre.

[edit] The One-Act Festival

Every year, the Earl Marriott Theatre Company hosts a one-act festival which is student produced/directed and usually includes student written pieces as well. In the 2007/08 school year, the play line-up was "A Killer Formula" written by Talia Kopach and directed by Kopach and Mariah Parker, "A Cinderella Waltz" written by Don Nigro and directed by Gigi Saul, Moe Khan and Katrina Babbini, "The Waiting" written and directed by Giri Kim, and "Hard Candy" written by Jonathan Rand and directed by Paul Richardson and Margaret Erickson.[3]
