Earffel Tower (Paris)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Earffel Tower is the icon for the Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Resort Paris. There is a similar structure in Disney's Hollywood Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, which was the icon of the park until The Sorcerer's Hat was built in 2002. The tower stands 66 ft tall. The tower is based on water towers commonly found on Hollywood studio backlots of the first half of the 1900s, originally a safety measure to douse any fires on the film sets. The Earffel Tower is based on it's Florida counterpart and includes special lighting on the outline of the Mickey Mouse ears at night.
