[edit] Pinellas County

I already fixed the shields, just need to upload them. Someone told me to use another font for the numerals, so I did, but that was not the right font size. I should have the right ones made by October 7. Carpetmaster101 01:53, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Update

C.M.101 03:14, 7 October 2007 (UTC) Carpetmaster 101

[edit] Devil Rays '08

Regarding this, please see [1] as a source. Thanks. BrianY 18:29, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

OK. Thanks. Happy editing. BrianY 03:00, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
I've also posted many other schedule templates so I can help you if you want to do other teams. --VoL†ro/\/Force 02:29, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
Some teams post only home schedules. If you post them on WP, then you'll have to complete them as other schedule are released. The Giants schedule has mostly home game, but you can fill out the away game when you see them on other teams' schedules. VoL†ro/\/Force 02:41, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Devil Rays" or "Rays"

News that the team has been looking to call itself the Rays has been floating around. Is this is done should we rename all the pages or leave it alone? After all a lot of people use the abbrivated term "Jays" for the Toronto Blue Jays. VoL†ro/\/Force 19:35, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Robbinsville CDP, New Jersey

The better example would have been "Toms River, New Jersey" being renamed to Toms River CDP, New Jersey and "Dover Township, New Jersey" being renamed as Toms River, New Jersey, which was also the result of a ballot referendum passed on an election day. The problem with your rename of "Robbinsville, New Jersey" to Robbinsville CDP, New Jersey is that this Robbinsville is NOT a census-designated place ordained and defined by the United States Census Bureau. We do have borough/township pairs (e.g. Pemberton, New Jersey and Pemberton Township, New Jersey), but I agree that the Robbinsville neighborhood should be differentiated to distinguish it from the township to avoid possible mislinks. Robbinsville, New Jersey should also redirect to the Township (which I've done already. But what should we use instead of "CDP" in the title? Any thoughts? Alansohn 18:30, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

  • It's not a CDP? My mistake. That's what I get for assuming again...lol. I could have sworn it was a CDP, though. Anyway, you're right, it needs something to differentiate it from the (now) Robbinsville Township. We could do "Robbinsville, Robbinsville Township, New Jersey", but that's way too wordy. Why not just merge them together, since it's nothing more than a neighborhood of the township now? It seems like wasted space to have them separate. It'd be like having a separate article for Pedricktown and Oldmans Township; the names are interchangeable in Salem County, so there'd be no need to switch them. Speaking of, you got something against Salem County, saying my examples weren't good enough?  ;-) LOL EaglesFanInTampa 20:47, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Nothing against Salem County, but those were examples of a paired Township/CDP, and what we have here is a renamed township that is now using the name of an area within the township as the new name for the whole township, more similar to the Toms River situation. What is now Robbinsville CDP, New Jersey was created for the Robbinsville ZIP code, using census bureau data for what's called a ZCTA. In many cases here in New Jersey, people will say they lived in "Robbinsville" (the address on their mail), not "Washington Township" (their municipality). We could finesses the whole issue by redirecting the old article to the new one, but I think that there should be an independent article for what is in essence "downtown" Robbinsville. Regarding Pedricktown, my usual standard is to create such articles if they have data at the Census Bureau web site (Pedricktown does, many do not), and if there are other existing articles linking to it (which Pedricktown does have). I'd be happy to whip up a standalone for article for you, if you'd be interested. Alansohn 20:57, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
  • I moved the above conversation to Talk:Robbinsville CDP, New Jersey, and invite your continued participation there. Alansohn 14:40, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
    • If you have time, a standalone article for Pedricktown would be great, actually. And, I know you have nothing against Salem Co...even if it's the most-backward county in the state ;-). I'll put the rest of my 2¢ on the topic at hand on the aforementioned talk page. EaglesFanInTampa 14:46, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Check out Pedricktown, New Jersey. Alansohn 17:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
      • I like it! All I need to do now is get a map made and start creating a history section from the comm. website. Thanks again! EaglesFanInTampa 21:20, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
