[edit] Images

  • The logo is actually incorrect. Does anyone have the correct logo (either the seal or that cat?)
  • Look on the school's official webpage, perhaps?--Lkjhgfdsa 14:35, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
  • The logo is a big issue, that is certainly the wrong one. Also, the article needs to be wikified, and definently needs some more pictures. Cephyr 02:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Update, a kind user removed the Stuy emblem. I'll email the technical coordinator of the school and see if we can get a more recent Eagan High one. I'll be bringing a camera to school to get some pictures of the building.
  • I put the old E/Wildcat logo up. I'd much rather have the logo be the classy seal (the blue/green crest with four logos). If anyone has a copy of that, it would be cool to have that instead. Also, some pictures of the building, teams, etc. might be nice if there are some PUBLIC DOMAIN images or images that you took.--Bibliophylax 01:58, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
  • So I tried to add some images. I added a USGS aerial photo because it is public domain... but it is very outdated, B/W, and low resolution. If anyone can find a better one, that would be great. Also, I added a logo of the mascot by athletics...but can't seem to get it to scale down. If someone else wants to tinker with the wiki formatting, it would be helpful! Also... I'd like to get a picture of JUST the crest. Right now, there's the picture of the crest in the background slightly dimmed with EAGAN HIGH SCHOOL on top of it. If anyone has a copy of just the crest, that'd be cool.--Bibliophylax 20:49, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree that the current logo isn't showing up properly.  :/ As an alternative, does anyone have (or can you get) a photo of the school itself? Perhaps the front entrance, the entire building, or if there's a stone engraving of the name or something, that might work too. --Elonka 04:49, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Redlinked Names

For The alumni section, please only put alumni that have some significance or are varifyible. The same person has put up an unkown name, and has been deleted twice. If you believe this is a notable person, please explain it here first, before switching it back again. Thanks52G 18:05, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I agree. It's a common problem on Wikipedia that people add their own or their family's names to various pages, trying to make a case that such a person is famous or notable. But in general, if the person doesn't already have their own bio on Wikipedia, then they're not notable enough to include on "Notable alumni" lists. For more info on what qualifies as notability, please see WP:BIO. If someone believes that a name does meet the requirements, then sources should be included which verify this information. --Elonka 19:21, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] History Section

The history section has several items in it that are not history. The Natalie Darwitz tidbit was thrown in at the end. It does not flow with the section because it is not related to the rest of the section. I am requesting for deletion of this in the history section, as this is not the history of Eagan High School, and is more appropriate for the Honorable Alumni section, where it is already covered. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 52G (talkcontribs) 18:09, 20 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Comments

Lots of nice work has gone into this article.  :) To further improve it, I recommend checking for standard school formatting at Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools. You may also wish to review the Wikipedia:Manual of style to check on how to format dates. With a bit more work, the article might even be eligible for official Good Article status, though I'd recommend putting it through Wikipedia:Peer review first (after it's been checked over for the other style issues). Good luck with it, and let me know if you have any questions.  :) --Elonka 04:31, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:EaganHSSealSmall.jpg

Image:EaganHSSealSmall.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
