Since opening the school has seen many National Merit Scholars, National Hispanic Scholars, AP Scholars, and Boettcher Scholars pass through their doors.

[edit] School Life

There are 68 clubs that are offered to students at EHS; more than 1,300 students participate in these offerings. Some of these interest clubs include Key club, Youth Ending Hunger, Craft Clique (formerly the Crochet Club), Black Student Alliance, Rock Climbing Club, Youth Advisory Board, Peer Buddies, FCLA, El Orgullo Hispano, and Photo Club. DECA, International Thespian Society Troupe #4999, National Art Honor Society, FBLA, National Honor Society, National Forensic League, French Honor Society, English Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Japanese Honor Society, and German Honor Society recognize student academic achievement and involvement beyond the classroom. There are also a number of activities that meet during the school day. Student Council, Speech and Debate, Band, Choir, Newspaper, Yearbook, Tech Crew, and Dance Company have components that students work on during the day and also involve night or weekend commitments.

The Performing Arts Department is award winning and has a rich tradition. The Instrumental Music Department offers Marching Band, Orchestra, Bell Choir, Drumline, and Jazz Band, of which have boasted many All-State musicians. Vocal Music consists of seven choirs, including a select group of sixteen students in Jazz Choir, and roughly 30 in Madrigals. EHS has a large dance department; offering more than 5 classes a day of dance that range from the prestigious Dance company to social dance. There are many collaborative effects between the different courses in the Performing Arts Department. The Theatre department puts on a variety of productions throughout the year, including at least one musical.

Athletics has a strong history at Eaglecrest. Eaglecrest boasts State Championships in Football, Track, Softball, and most recently is home to the 2006 State Volleyball Champions; however, the Cheerleading program has had tremendous success with 7 State Champion titles that they have brought home since the school opened in 1991. Eaglecrest has recently had teams competing in the final brackets of the state tournaments, including Boys Basketball, Poms, Cross Country, Lacrosse, and Track and Field.
