Eagle Ridge Academy was established in 2004.[1]
Eagle Ridge features a classical curriculum and courses that an average high school would not have, such as Rhetoric, Logic, and Humanities. Rhetoric is the art of persuasion which was employed by the Ancient Greeks. Logic is the art of reasoning employed by classical philosophers. Humanities is the study and discussion of classical literature.

The first production put on by Eagle Ridge Academy was "The Hope Diamond". A play written by a mother of one of the students and directed by the student herself. It was put on in 2005, the first year of the school's existence.
The first musical that Eagle Ridge Academy put on was "Into the Woods".

Eagle Ridge Academy and the International School of Minnesota, both small schools which are near each other, field joint sports teams. The team name is the Huskies.[4]
