Hello E. abu Filumena and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
[edit] Calabrian language
As the primary contributor to this article, I'd like to draw your attention to a lengthy post at Talk:Calabrian language. I'm neither Italian nor a linguist, so I'd like you to discuss the issues with VingenzoTM and decide what the article needs. At the least, many of his points and references would improve the article, so I would love to see you two work together on doing so. You're doing great things on Wikipedia, and I look forward to seeing many more contributions from you. Best wishes — Catherine\talk 16:59, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Paul LaFarge.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Paul LaFarge.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] cretiane
I have no doubt that there are Italians who use the wored "Christian" to refer to people in general. There was a comparable practice in the UK and US. Nevertheless, Jews and others found the practice objectionable. This is the key to our NPOV policy. You say that "crstiane" is "correct" in terms of lagnuage usage as it was "traditionally" used to refer to people. What you do not make clear is whether all Italians followed this usage unquestioningly, or whether some Italians expressed, directly or indirectly, passively or actively, some resistence to this usage. If the former, then we just have an interesting example of this history of a language. If the latter, then we have an NPOV violation. Slrubenstein | Talk 14:51, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Possible renaming of Wikipedia:WikiProject Saints
It has been suggested that the above named project be renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Christian saints. Please express your opinion on this proposed renaming, and the accompanying re-definition of the scope of the project, here. John Carter 17:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Christianity
Hello E. abu Filumena!
You are cordially invited to participate in WikiProject Christianity
The goal of WikiProject Christianity is to improve the quality and quantity of information about Christianity available on Wikipedia. WP:X as a group does not prefer any particular tradition or denominination of Christianity, but prefers that all Christian traditions are fairly and accurately represented. |
You are receiving this invitation because you are a member of one of the related Christianity Projects and I thought that you might be interested in this project also - Tinucherian (talk) 04:36, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Paul_LaFarge.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Paul_LaFarge.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 15:48, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
