E-Z Listening Disc is the 1987 release by Devo. It is a disc of instrumental versions of classic Devo songs performed in the style of easy listening Muzak or New Age music. The album is a collection of tracks from Devo's two "E-Z Listening Cassettes," available only though Club Devo. The CD omits a second E-Z Listening version of "Shout."
Notable is the version of "Satisfaction" present here; it uses the original Rolling Stones guitar riff, which does not appear in any other versions of Devo's cover. Some fans suggest[citation needed] this was added because otherwise the rendition would not be recognizable; indeed, the song's vocal harmony could not be replicated with an instrument and Devo's quiet bass-riff was the only indicator of what it was.
