[edit] Marathon
The Marathon, or GX series, was made from 1976 to 1993. They came with a 2-stroke 1PG, 2PG, or3PG Robin engine or a 4-stroke OHC Robin engine.
[edit] TXT
The TXT is the second most recent golf car produced by E-Z-GO since the introduction of the RXV in November 2007. The E-Z-GO TXT is still in production as a lower cost alternative to the RXV car. The competition from Club Car and Yamaha Golf Car both feature more up-to-date features than the TXT, such as independent front suspension (whereas the TXT still implements a solid axle) and ergonomically designed seats. The TXT is powered by a 9.0 horsepower RobinSubaru EH-29 overhead cam engine.
[edit] RXV
E-Z-GO has offered many vehicles over the years, the most recent being the RXV, introduced in November 2007. The RXV is offered in both electric and gasoline-powered models.
The electric RXV features a 48-volt AC (Alternating Current) power system. The AC drive is said to cut energy usage and improves daily range. The AC drive also features Posi Trac, which is similar to a locking differential, and limits the amount a wheel will slip on slick surfaces.
The gasoline-powered RXV features a 13-horsepower, 401 cc single-cylinder Kawasaki engine. This new power plant gets more miles per gallon and conforms to EPA and CARB regulations. Kevlar belts and Teflon clutch bearings are also said to add to engine reliability and dependability.
On the outside, the RXV features 360-degree front, side and rear bumpers that provide complete body protection. A redesigned canopy top channels rain away from golfers and golf bags.
The dash, bag well and sweater baskets provide more storage space than the previous TXT, and the wider bench seat is designed to be more comfortable for golfers.
