[edit] Vitamin D (producer)
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Vitamin D (producer), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A proposal has been made to merge Replacement I-35W Mississippi River bridge into I-35W Mississippi River bridge. The matter is being discussed at Talk:Replacement I-35W Mississippi River bridge. Please feel free to comment. Thank you. Kablammo 18:29, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Saint Paul vs. St. Paul
I was wondering if there is a consensus on which name should be used. The main article is spelled out while the subsections St. Paul neighborhoods and Education in St. Paul, Minnesota are abbreviated. I spelled out Saint Paul Public Schools because I know that it is the official name. I know that St. Louis, Missouri decided that St. Louis is the official name but I am not sure about Saint Paul. Saint Paul is abbreviated on their website address but mostly spelled out in the content with a few exceptions. Right now, I am confused on which one to use. P.Haney 19:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- The people working on Saint Paul, Minnesota have decided not to abbreviate it, because I believe, it is the legal name of the city, but there are examples of other articles (like the ones you mentioned) that do abbreviate it. I usually change them when they're close to something I'm working on. The main reason is that wikilinking St. Paul, Minnesota causes a redirect to Saint Paul, Minnesota.--Appraiser 20:20, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Heiruspecs-members.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Heiruspecs-members.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 07:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Shiraz pic
Why did you move the pictures on the shiraz page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Manu kian maheri93 (talk • contribs) 23:24, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- On my computer there was large ugly white space from the lead to the table of contents. I moved the images down a section so readers wouldn't have to scroll down as much to see the rest of the article. P.Haney 00:01, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- That happened to me too;but in the prosses you moved the Qor'an gate into the safavid period section, when it belongs to the tazi arab section. I think we should delete the eram picture or add it to the infobox. what do u think?Manu kian maheri93 00:05, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies, I went back and moved the images again. The Qor'an Gate picture is back where it belongs and I moved the Eram Garden picture to the climate section because it mentions the cities many gardens. I hope those changes work. P.Haney 00:26, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:The Road Less Traveled-album.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:The Road Less Traveled-album.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:54, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] B&B Gaming
There was absolutely no evidence to support the removal of the B&B Gaming article, much less to post a block warning. If you really don't have the decency to explain why you think the articles should be deleted, or how to make them reasonable so they fit the guidelines, you shouldn't delete articles.

[edit] KBEM
I don't know for sure if MnDOT is currently paying KBEM for traffic reports, or if there's a contract. They announced in January 2005 that they were going to cancel the contract, but then they announced in March 2005 that they were going to continue the contract for one year while KBEM developed self-sufficiency through fundraising and other measures. The current page at MnDOT says that traffic information is presented on KBEM, but they don't say if there's a contract or anything like that. There's also an article on how the RTMC handled traffic after the bridge collapse. I'm going under the assumption that KBEM broadcasts traffic reports, but they don't necessarily get paid by MnDOT to do it. I've listened to KBEM and heard their traffic reports recently, so I know they're still broadcasting. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 21:31, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Yes, its IA-LEAP
Thanks Eoin - Yes that is the IA-LEAP school that is housed in the Wilson Building. It is a little confusing, but accourding to Federal preservation laws, buildings named after someone (presidents specifically(?)) must keep that name. You must have made that photo today, the snow is still fresh. BTW: my classroom is on the top floor with the shades down... Take Care and thanks. Dinkytown (talk) 00:59, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

With respect tot he article of Greek battles, dont assume that someone who starts off just with a title isn't going to do any thing further. As the reviewing admin, I removed your speedy tags, and substituted {{underconstruction}} If the articles are not adequate after 7 days, then by all means nominate via prod (or speedy of course if they remain totally empty). [edit] Speedy deletion of Alex O'Carroll
I didn't create that article - he did (or Lex224 (talk · contribs), who I guess is him, did). What I did was to userfy it - move it into his user page - as a rather friendlier approach to a newbie than just zapping it. You must have moved to tag it at just the same moment; you saved me the trouble of putting {{db-rediruser}} on the left-over redirect page. JohnCD (talk) 21:21, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Chicago Race Riot
Since you said you are a newbie, the common protocol is to point to sections that need citation on the talk page if the GA has not closed. Placing {{fact}} tags all over the article is surely going to get other people who are requested for second opinions to say who is the idiot asking us to promote something to GA with fact tags all over it. They will not likely notice they came from you.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 03:08, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

You are perfectly at liberty to quickfail any article that you believe meets the GA quickfail criteria. But what you must also do is to provide a review that states why you believe that the article should be quickfailed.
Please provide such a review. --Malleus Fatuorum (talk) 00:53, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps this is a miscommunication due to timing? I posted a review at 00:51 about six minutes after I removed it from the GAN page. Does this explain the problem? ~ Eóin (talk) 01:39, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Article on Syed Danish Hasan
Respected Sir, First of all I am Mr. Rakesh Singh. I am writing it because some of the people on my wikipedia talk page have claimed that I am Danish myself. This is definitely untrue else this would have been self promotion. I am the current P.A. of Mr. Jagdish Gandhi(article on him is already present on wikipedia), the founder manager of City Montessori School,Lucknow. This article has been added to wikipedia to present forward the achievements of Danish Hasan who has been the most commendable student of the institution itself. His achievements are present on the article itself. Besides, as a reference, I would like to state that Danish is now well known in India and abroad for several reasons. (1) To be in the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination) prescribed Merit List is not a joke. He has secured 9th position among 1,586,547 candidates appearing for ICSE 2008 Examination. (2) He is Gold Medalist at International Mathematics Competition 2007, Singapore. (3) He secured All India 1st position in AAT 2006 in the subject Commercial Studies. (4) On 20-5-2008 Danish's interview was tsken live on 'Sahara Rastriya', Indian Hindi news channel. (5) His ICSE achievement was published in over 15 newspapers.
Sir if you still hold any doubt about the reliability of the text, I can email you all his certificates & cuttings from newspapers at your email address. So kindly send me your email address on our account for Danish - danish14011992@gmail.com
Lastly, you can check out the official website of CMS- www.cmseducation.org/ City Montessori School(CMS) is itself the Guiness Record holder for maximum number of students in a single college. Rest you can check out on the website.
Thanking you, Rakesh Singh. --Danish14011992 (talk) 16:08, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
