Dysphoric Undertones is the first full-length album by the black metal band Vuotare. Recorded at The Other Side Studios in two straight weeks during the month of August, 2005. The album runs as one long song divided into seven acts. Dysphoric Undertones deals conceptually with the search for the meaning of life and what lies ahead after death.
'A Ghost of Flesh' is a concept taken from a poem written by Edgar Allan Poe.
The quote at the album's end is a sound clip taken from the film Altered States.
The album was self-released in October of 2005 in CD-R format to an undisclosed number of copies. Later re-released in Shanghai, China by Funeral Moonlight Productions limited to 100 handnumbered Pro CD-R copies.
