- The character Moose Mason in Archie Comics is dyslexic.

- The character Ishaan (Darsheel Safary) in Aamir Khan's award-winning 2007 Hindi film , Taare Zameen Par is dyslexic.

- The character Hank Zipzer in the eponymous children's series by Henry Winkler is dyslexic.
- In Rick Riordan's series of novels, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, a large number of the central characters, including the title character, have both dyslexia and ADHD. This is because the half-mortal children of Greek gods, in the series, have difficulty reading/decoding English because their brains are hard-wired to read Ancient Greek.
