[edit] Nunavik travel

The best thing would be to google something like "nunavik travel" (without the "). I got some interesting looking links such as travel blogs, government tourism, Nunavik info centre in Quebec City. Hope they help. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 14:17, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

This is great info, why not put it on Nunavik page ? --DynV 06:45, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

you could do like some people do and put a notice on the top of your page that says "If you post here I will reply here. If I post to your talk page please reply there." Some people do that to keep the conversations together. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 13:43, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Will you edit the page or should I do it and give you credit ? --DynV 15:38, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Sorry I missed this before now. You should just update the page as you think is best. There's no need to give me credit at all. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 21:38, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Morrowind opinions

In which page should I put this section ? Talk:The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind don't seem appropriate for personal comments.

I love Morrowind so much that I've tattooed it's logo 6 “ long on my forearm engraving the three runes with Scarification and plan to have other similar work done. I wonder if it just because it marked me because it converted me from First-person shooter to Computer role-playing game or it was underrated but to think this had only 8.9 average score make me a bit sad ... --DynV 07:20, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

You are correct. Tallk pages are for talking about the article, not the subject or how much one loves it. You can post this information only on your personal user page, User:DynV. - UtherSRG (talk) 11:54, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Is there a way to link the use page section like adding a tattoo section to Morrowind ? --DynV 15:38, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] make universal programmer page ?

I wonder how to use universal programmer as seen on this sega genesis programming page, I know it's related to eprom. I wanted to start a wiki page with this small info on it for someone else to complete and wonder is there's a special:special pages link or {{helpme}} tag to put ? I have a hard time learning the internal scripting ... Is there a guide ? O_o

Such an article would get deleted. Wikipedia is not a how-to manual. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:48, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the precision but it doesn't help me with the scripting part. --DynV 16:27, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Not sure what you mean by scripting, the wikipedia markup language? --pgk 17:25, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] languages redirection

Is there a tag or category to put the wikipedia link of the same page (like redirecting) or another in another languages ? Like I often have to translate from english to french so the french link would help me do this. --DynV 05:46, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes they are called Interwikimedia links. For example at Babar the Elephant the "[[fr:Babar]]" at the bottom of the article makes the link to the French version in the sidebar (under the search bar).--Commander Keane 05:51, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] religion

I'm pretty interested in Vaishnavism. Although the reincarnation aspect just turned me off.

Confucianism is interesting and gives wisdom, impressive !

I contacted my local Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Church and I think I'll be joining them although they're 22Km(13.7m) from my home ... [1] 16:54, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Deism are shared by both whch interest me the most : Unitarian Universalism and Confucianism.

I found and contacted a closer UUA Church at 13Km(8m). [2] 19:37, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Certainty series is interesting and those are close to me Epistemology and Nihilism. 17:31, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] wiki stuff

[edit] Format

[edit] SVG

I often use Category:Images that should be in SVG format to remind or incite people to use vector instead of raster when it's appropriate (very often).

[edit] own templates

~~~~~ date from signature {{Convert to SVG and copy to Wikimedia Commons}} {{ShouldBeSVG|diagram}} {{ShouldBeSVG|physical}} {{ShouldBeSVG|map}} {{ShouldBeSVG|fairuse}} ==convert to SVG== Will you please use the program with which you made the image [http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:X.png Y] to make a vectorial version, preferably SVG, and after making the new image page on wiki commons, use this tag on your old image page: [[Template:Vector_version_available]]. --~~~~ {{Vector version available|X.svg}}
[edit] Geek hero
Charles Babbage is the father of programmable computer. Hail to my hero !
A honorable mention goes out to John von Neumann for not depending on overly complicated machines.
[edit] share watchlist
I'd like to but I have seen nothing of the sort on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Watching_pages and searching for
wikipedia+watchlist+share OR publicize OR show OR display
--DynV (talk) 02:10, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Huh? What are you trying to do? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 02:12, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to show on my user page topics on my watchlist and wondering if there a wikitag that does it automatically instead of doing adding and updating it manually... --DynV (talk) 02:14, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
So far as I know, there's no direct way to make your watchlist public. You could, however, keep a page in your userspace which lists pages you keep track of, and then use Special:Recentchangeslinked targeting that page to accomplish more or less the same thing (see WP:MVP for an example). – Luna Santin (talk) 02:14, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Any dis/approval that
there's no direct way to make your watchlist public
 ? --DynV (talk) 02:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Other than the method stated, there is no possible way to my knowledge that it can be done. §hep¡Talk to me! 03:07, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
