[edit] Category:Individual computers

I'm not actually sure off hand - this is the first I've seen of that category. I think it's meant to be for single (I guess that's what's meant by "individual") computers, i.e. those where only one was built. There were several models of VAX systems, and a lot were sold, so if that counts as an 'individual computers' then so would IBM PCs and so on. Kate | Talk 19:16, 2004 Aug 20 (UTC)

[edit] Cool!

Hi! Thanks for the Picture at Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. Can make also a picture on Southern Comfort (film) and Timerider, please? - User: Julian Thome

[edit] Genghis Khan

Thanks for correcting my error in calling him Japanese (re: Shabu-shabu). Of course he's Mongolian. --Diberri | Talk 07:05, Aug 25, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Out-of-order

Thanks for the start. It's great to have someone else working on this stuff.

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing

Why all the capital letters? Are computer science students taught that it is incorrect to begin a word with a lower-case letter? Michael Hardy 5 July 2005 00:01 (UTC)

[edit] Daily Radar

You said "Within a decade, companies that once employed thousands of people and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue can disappear without a trace." I was wondering if you (or anyone reading this for that matter) knows anything about Daily Radar. It was like the companies you describe above. No one seems to remember much about it. That bugs me so much, as they were one of the leading gameing websites while they were in business. -Hyad 5 July 2005 04:28 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Egg tart != dim sum

I understand that. Since categories are mainly for navigational purpose, I've added egg tart back to the dim sum category, with a brief note [1]. Thanks for your attention. — Instantnood 19:58, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] varieties of rice

Actually, the varieties of rice I added to List of rice varieties are sold by many different manufacturers under several brand names (for example, this Google search for Calrose rice). They can be found on one or more of the following sources: the California Rice Commission website, the California Rice Research Board website, and the UC Davis Rice Project website. (with others with silly names like M-104) Gentgeen 11:58, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Poultry

I removed poultry from the dove and pheasant page because it is inaccurate. I would not object to the label for Rock Dove or Common Pheasant, but there are 300 species of dove and sevarl dozen of pheasant, the vast majority of which are not used as poultry, and many of which are rare or protected by legislation. I'll look at quail again. jimfbleak 06:38, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

I've sorted quail - thanks for the tip. jimfbleak 06:44, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userbox Public Transit

According to Wikipedia:The German solution, here’s a a tip for you: (in lieu of the blanked template:User Public Transit). -- Olve 22:48, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mozzarepas article

[edit] thin client

You participated on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Thin_client. Check out this page i sugguested the fix you were talking about... Tell me what you think.

[edit] DeskStation Technology

I have few questions about the DeskStation Technology article that you started. I have an old device from this company, that i need to get the data off, and it looks like it has proprietory connections. I was wondering if you worked for this company or knew someone who did. Can you please get in touch with me? You can email me from my user page. Thanks a lot. --kunjan1029 01:22, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] IBM, ASC

Done per your request. I think there is value in all the ASCI article titles identifying their vendor, but no matter. There is some confusion you might be able to help with. The other articles are, as I recall, are all ASCI. The one renamed is ASC and the text references a program for which ASC looks to be a reasonable abv. However, there is a redirect page, ASCI purple, to the ASC page. Is this machine both, or is ASC, or ASCI, wrong? Thanks, tooold 02:44, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

What would you think of LLNL-IBM ASC ? tooold 04:49, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] P.A. Semi

I do stand corrected. I've corrected both P.A. Semi and PWRficient articles accordingly, and included the 603Q into my upcoming article about the PowerPC 600 family (User:Henriok/PowerPC 600). I'm sorry but I don't think I can get the Microprocessor Report issues you suggested but I sure want to. If you can dig out more information about any of these processors I'd be very interested. My mail adress is on my user page. Thanks for all the help! And.. AMCC's designs are based on IBM's previous work, about this there is no doubt and they haven't done anything really new yet (PowerPC 400). -- Henriok 18:56, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request for comment on computer program

The Computer program article is in need of repair. Would you comment on any improvement suggestions? I joined the talk starting with the thread talk:computer program#Definition of a computer program. Timhowardriley 23:26, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, since you set up the link, maybe your are able to answer my question on: Talk:Visual C++#(Redirected_from_Microsoft_C). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Krischik (talkcontribs) 07:25, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
