Talk:Dylan Postl
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Name
Can we not call him Little Bastard, that's not a nice name really, and it is franky bad English. Just call him Lepricorn. Govvy 15:03, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
what the hell is a lepricorn?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I think you meen Leprechaun moron.--Altenhofen (talk) 03:02, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
This is about Dylan Postl —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.247.5.204 (talk) 22:00, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, you'll have to take that issue up with Vincent Kennedy McMahon, we can't exactly make WWE stop using any particular gimmick. I wouldn't want to call him Lepricorn either though... -NickSentowski 17:58, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Little Bastard is bad English, but "Leprecorn" isn't? I think you'll find that it's "Leprechaun". And Leprechaun isn't his name, it's just what JBL thinks he is. 88.105.245.40 00:14, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
On this Fridays addition of SmackDown Finlay referred to him as a Leprechaun. Govvy 16:52, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- Look here: http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/ 6 down, 3 right it says "Little Bastard". If that's not good enough, perhaps this link text will do it for you http://www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/littlebastard/profile/ .
- As I said, we can't change facts, and it is a fact that Dylan is indeed "Little Bastard".
- -NickSentowski 02:52, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- I have expanded and added Leprechaun as one of his alias ring names, as Finlay refers to him as a Leprechaun as does JBL, which I feel is the correct thing to do. Govvy 11:28, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
I just prefer to call him "Dylan The Midget". Whenever I mention him to my friends, it's never just "Dylan". If you add "The Midget", everyone knows who you're talking about.
Interesting fact: Dylan attended Fox Valley Technical College in 2004, where he was training to become an X-Ray technician, before he broke into the big time. Whenever I thought about him wearing an X-Ray technician suit, it brought to mind the scene in Willy Wonka where they shrunk the gigantic candy bar. Midgets in radiation suits!!!
- Yeah... Most of his friends just refer to him as "Midge" - NickSentowski 16:37, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Can someone actually verify if Postl is actually Vince McMahon's son? PLEASE! DfraseR13 18:00, 19 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.157.104.56 (talk)
[edit] MySpace
Everyone, PLEASE stop posting links to Dylan's MySpace page. I am a personal friend of his and I addressed it with him directly, he does not have a "promotional" or "public" myspace page. The most page most commonly linked to is his real page, but he uses it as a way of contacting people he knows, not to garnish attention from his fans. I'd compare it to handing out his phone number, it just isn't cool. - NickSentowski 19:25, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Delete it the because its there now.Roosterrulez 15:05, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Migit wrestler
Why does it have to say that? Why cant it say dwarf or little person? Calling a dwarf a migit is a) rude and b) WRONG (PEOPLE ARENT SUPPOSE TO SAY IT) Midget wrestling is the technical name for it, so that is why he is in that category.--Olla667 23:21, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Zack Shadow 07:16, 22 April 2007 (UTC) This subject has always confused me. "Dwarf" and "Little Person" both sound a lot worse, and more demeaning, then midget..
Yes, you see, the term "dwarf" comes from the mdeical term "dwarfism", just as "giant" comed from "gigantism" or "giantism", and "retard" comes from "mental retardation" Calgary 21:56, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Ok people we are getting off topic this is not a forum this is a discussion page so i suggest we get something new to talk about. BIGCANDICEFAN 19:13, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
midget used to be the real term you know.--Altenhofen (talk) 02:57, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Minor stuff
The article says his first speaking part on television was on the St. Patrick's Day week 2007 episode of Smackdown. In fact, though, he had a scene a few weeks prior to that where he argued with Finley about not wanting to face The Boogeyman, at the end of which Finley dumped him in a trash bin. I don't know off hand the episode date, but I think it was also the same episode as the first second appearance of Mini-Boogeyman.
Also, I noticed that the article's only source of information appears to be WWE's official website. It would be very helpful if the article could also include some other, independent references about him. Generally speaking it's not a good idea to rely solely on one publisher for information. Has he ever been talked about or interviewed outside of the WWE website? Dugwiki 20:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Zack Shadow 07:15, 22 April 2007 (UTC) That wasn't an episode, and it wasn't the first appearance of Mini-Boogeyman, it was at No Way Out.
[edit] Signature Moves?
What happened to the list of his finishing and/or signature moves??? The Tadpole Splash should be put down, as he used it before he came to the WWE dR 09:05, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cruiserweight title
Isn't he also the youngest cruiserweight champion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.24.196.121 (talk • contribs)
Yeah. 76.110.82.251 22:38, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kayfabe!
He didn't actually sign a lawsuit with WWE, it was all a storyline. Someone needs to mention that. 81.145.241.230 14:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Original Plans
Originally, WWE planned to ditch the Cruiserweight title after Hornswoggle won it, and introduce a new belt. Not sure if they're still gonna do that.
-
- Ok you need to put this under the Cruiserweight Championship becasue this has nothing to do with Hornswogle even though he is the current champion have you read the rules this is not a forum this page is only for changes to be made to the main page.
Hornswoggle was the last Cruisorweight Champion in WWE. The belt is now retired. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.230.234.186 (talk) 22:45, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Signature Forein Objects
I am removing Pie,Smoke, and Knife because he has only used pie once and never again and I've never seen him use a knife and so far as smoke NO. BIGCANDICEFAN 19:18, 11 August 2007 (UTC)—
He used Mr. socko refered to as little socko (given to him by mick foley) so maybe we should put that down. I thought it was hilarious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.47.87.230 (talk) 02:05, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
he used it once, it isn't "signature".--Altenhofen (talk) 02:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Face Turn
Hornswoggle has started a fued with Jamie Noble and Jamie is a heel so heel vs. heel someone has to be face. So Hornswoggle should of turned face. BIGCANDICEFAN 20:24, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Whoever is adding back pie and smoke I higly suggest you don't anymore and wait to see if he uses it again which he probably won't. BIGCANDICEFAN 19:49, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well, obviously, Hornswoggle has been getting cheers from the fans, as well as facing heel Jamie Noble. That would mean he's a face. However, we don't exactly know whether Hornswoggle is still accociated with Finlay or not (we haven't seen Hornswoggle anymore during Finlay's matches, but he has acknoleged Hornswoggle winning the championship). We'll just have to see what happens next. 76.115.45.252 20:35, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- Yeah, Hornswoggle is still associated with Finlay, though he's also doing his own thing more often as well. It's like when Evolution was somewhat separate from HHH coming into WrestleMania XX (except they were still heels when acting apart from him). So basically, we can say he's a tweener (at best a faceish tweener), but not a definite face. 63.3.16.2 22:19, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hornswaggle
Since when, i've never heard anyone spell it like that.
Me either I am consaulting with= someone on that. BIGCANDICEFAN 19:43, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- Hornswaggle is a popular mis-spell, due to a Juggalo Championshit Wrestling wrestler named Hornswaggling Hillbilly. Падший ангел 07:03, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion
- Any additional comments:
- Comment: "Hornswoggle" is not exclusively this guy's ringname, it's also a word in itself, so I would say some or many of the Google hits are for that (see here [1]). --MarcK 23:38, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- At the same time, there's no other use for that name in Wikipedia. Mshake3 23:42, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

This article has been renamed from Dylan Postl to Hornswoggle as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 16:30, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
You can't just move the article on one consensus vote, I personally vote against moving which makes the voting even! Also I have moved the article back. Hornswoggle is a word and there are probably lots of references to it around the web for other uses. By default biographies are the real name of the sports person, actor/actress. You don't see any actor's articles named after a character, the same shouldn't happen with the wwe stars. You should just redirect the character name to the main article. Govvy 07:19, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Keep in mind that Dalip Singh redirects to The Great Khali. Just an observation. Calgary 03:45, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- And don't forget about Michael Hickenbottom, Paul Levesque, Terry Bollea, Mark Callaway and many others. All of their articles are named after their ring names, because they are more well known than their birth names, and that is the case here. (Sawyer 00:24, 12 September 2007 (UTC))
- Many actors use stage names and their Wikipedia article reflects this. It extends beyond wrestlers.Bngrybt 02:08, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
This is wikipedia which is a database, all other actor databases have him titled under his real name. There are set rules to follow when making a biography, the first thing is the title which is always the real name. First you follow the rules, as for Dalip Singh, he has film credits in India and US using his real name, The Great Khali should be redirected to Dalip Singh per standard rules. Same with the other 4, they are unique, as they have adapted their wrestling name to film credits. You can do it for the unique, but you should abide by the standard first. btw, Calaway has one L! Govvy 20:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Useless line at the bottom
Somebody please remove the last line of his bio, which simply states what was written much better a paragraph earlier. It's not even spelt correctly. This is so very wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.76.65.77 (talk) 08:37, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
spelt? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.183.129.177 (talk) 17:34, 11 September 2007 (UTC) yeah spelt, the t and the led are interchangeable on this word, and dude had a point (62.31.192.243 19:29, 22 September 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Looking back
WWE has quietly removed the Cruiserweight Championship from the SmackDown superstars page on the official WWE web site. It is unknown whether or not WWE dropped the title altogether or just took it off of WWE.com because there is no current Cruiserweight Championship with Hornswoggle moving to RAW.
- Hm....is it just me or did I predict this earlier (scroll up). Their plans were to ditch the title and it seems they're doing just that. Tyler Warren (talk/contribs) 11:17, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
-
- umm, they haven't ditched it and if you look at the Superstars page it still says: Cruiserweight Champion : VACATED . Govvy 14:48, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hence why I said "It seems". Learn to read english, then come back and try again. Tyler Warren (talk/contribs) 15:15, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

- And where did you get that info from, most likely and unreliable source, WWE would have one of those little celebration of the title segements like they did with the Intercontinental Championship, and I think the Hardcore title. Since the 90's WWE have never "quietly" dropped a title.

[edit] Anoying Push
Am i the only one who find hornswagle's push anoying, stupid, and a wast of time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.24.105 (talk) 16:57, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- This isn't the place to discuss whether it's annnoying or not. This is where we discuss any problems with the article, or if it can be improved. Thanks! NiciVampireHeart (talk) 16:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

How come nothing from the last... month's on? I wanna add stuff but I'm short on time and I don't know where to start... 3pointswish (talk) 05:49, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Some may say what's been happening isn't notable. Personally, I believe that it is. But let's wait for more opinions and a consensus. :) Gavyn Sykes (talk) 16:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- this stuff is very notable vince is apparently not hornswoggle's father! accroding to jbl (though we cant really rely on this guy for the truth) finlay is the true father of hornswoggle —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackjohnson15 (talk • contribs) 03:19, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hornswaggle "McMahon"
Does a note need to be put on about the "McMahon" name now Finlay admitted he was Hornswaggle's father. Bam123456789 (talk) 21:46, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
he is not related to vince or filay, it's all fake.--Altenhofen (talk) 02:49, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] question
is he to be taken seriously as a wrestler
he may be a midget (no offence), but he is a real pro wrestler and a 2 time champ. so i say so, after all, he is still a grown man with a pretty impesive resime for his size.--Altenhofen (talk) 02:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] re debut
He made his smackdown re debut by defeating matt striker with assistance from finlay. Adster95 (talk) 11:06, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] New move and foreign object!
He is now using a squirt gun and Asian Mist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.222.210.1 (talk) 13:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- That is not notable yet, as he has used them once. iMatthew T.C. 20:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- He used the asian mist a few months back and then again on the last SD!, so not notable yet. But he's used the squirt gun for the last two months consistently. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 20:59, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- IMO, the squirt gun is signature by now, yes. He's been using it every time he's appeared for the past two months (about 4-5 times, I think). Gavyn Sykes (talk) 21:17, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
