From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Larkspur, or tall delphinium (Delphinium glaucum) produces spike-like clusters of blossoms from July to August. This is one of the tallest wildflowers, capable of reaching two metres in height. Larkspur is poisonous, particularly when young, and the seeds are extremely toxic. Cattle deaths are commonly associated with this plant. Sheep, however, are immune to the poison, and are often used to control larkspur.
