[edit] Summary

A photograph showing a collection of CDs, DVDs and tele-snaps, as an example of the ways in which material from Doctor Who missing episodes survives despite the episodes being absent from the BBC's archives. Created and uploaded by User:Angmering to provide a more-free illustration for the Doctor Who missing episodes article, which previously relied entirely on fair use screen grabs for illustration. Copyright in the original images is owned by the BBC, BBC Worldwide and 2 entertain Ltd.

[edit] Fair use rationale for the inclusion of this image at Doctor Who missing episodes

  • The article is on episodes of the television series Doctor Who which are missing, and thus quite an abstract topic to try and provide illustration for. The image here shows DVD and CD covers and 'tele-snaps' relating to missing and recovered episodes of the programme, thus providing at least some form of general illustration.
  • None of the covers or images are shown at full or anything near reproducible resolution, thus complying with Wikipedia's fair use guidelines.
  • The images are used for informational purposes only, and are not believed to detract from the original products or images in any way.
