User talk:Dwecker
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi there. Welcome to Wikipedia. Please excuse that I've copied in some of the text I posted to User talk:Carletonpalmer.
I looked for an appropriate canned warning to insert here, but I could not.
I'm sure you already know about Wikipedia's principles such as neutral point of view, no original research, and verifiability. They are particularly tough to uphold when dealing with articles on topics you are closely involved with.
What I want to say is that Wikipedia is not a place for self-promotion. If you and the projects you've created articles about are truly notable, then someone will create articles for them. It's really hard to write about projects you're involved with using a neutral point of view.
Again, welcome to Wikipedia. Happy editing and best wishes. MKoltnow 17:15, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
