The dwarf catshark, Scyliorhinus torrei, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found off southern Florida, the Bahamas, and Cuba, at depths of between 200 and 600 m. Its length is up to 32 cm.
The dwarf catshark has a broad rounded snout. It is found on the upper continental slope. Little is known of its biology.
Coloration is pale brown back and upper sides transversely marked by series of indistinct darker blotches. Finer markings consist of small oval whitish spots, evenly distributed over the whole back and upper sides.
Reproduction is oviparous.
