- I am AMAZED that you have been around so long without a welcome. It is great to have you with us here. You appear to be doing good work. Kukini 07:41, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks. I'm usually pretty quiet on Wikipedia, mainly because I'm already too busy administrating Wiktionary. I do occasionally plop in photos I take or fix glaring stylistic errors here, though. Someday, I might also do some audio for articles I like, but my Wiktionary to-do list is already endless. You can send dicdef stuff my way if it's any good, though. — Dvortygirl 07:48, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

Celestianpower has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling to someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Smile to others by adding {{subst:smile}} or {{subst:smile2}} to their talk pages. Happy editing!
Hi dvortygirl, it's me Master Tyler from wikihow. Has it been down, because I haven't been able to go on the site since yesterday?
[edit] SF meetup
Hi Dvortygirl, I'd like to have a San Francisco-area meetup sometime this spring. If you're interested, please provide some input as to your preferred date and time. Thanks! -- phoebe (brassratgirl) /(talk) 23:28, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wiki Wednesday in Palo Alto
I live in Mountain View and might be interested in showing up sometime. -- Prove It (talk) 14:10, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Great! Wiki Wednesdays have been alternating lately between Palo Alto and San Francisco, and believe it or not, we need more people there who are involved in WMF projects. The one on September 5 is in Palo Alto, and it's looking like I'll be speaking there. (Which reminds me, I had better prepare a talk soon...) Please use my email link if you need directions or anything to get there. I really don't check this page all that often. Perhaps I'll see you there. --Dvortygirl 14:13, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Free body diagram
I drew Image:Free_Body_Diagram.png in MS Word, if you can believe it. I know what you mean about either too little or too much. Word is object based so I can select, resize, move, reorder, align, rotate, color, and group stuff I draw. The drawing capability is about the same in PowerPoint, I believe, with the additional ability to rotate text. Once drawn, I paste the captured screen shot into Paint to crop it and save as one of several image formats. I'd like to save as SVG, because I get the benefits, but the one free SVG tool I tried was way overkill. -AndrewDressel (talk) 13:08, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
