Duzhe (Chinese: 读者; pinyin: Dúzhě; literally "Reader(s)") is a general interest magazine which includes original articles, condensed articles reprinted from other magazines, book excerpts, and collections of jokes, anecdotes, quotations and other short pieces. It is the most widely circulated magazine in the People's Republic of China, and is similar in style to Reader's Digest. It was originally named Duzhe Wenzhai (Readers' Digest) but changed its name due to copyright reasons. Duzhe was founded in 1981 in Lanzhou, and is published by the Gansu People's Press.
