Fyad has nothing to do with anime, it's a subforum of somethingawful.com (albeit hidden!) and was on the somethingawful.com page, contrary to the anime page - the original redirect was the vandalism :/ 80.0.38.204 (talk) 00:39, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] To Keeper

This is Dusti, I have returned. A brief explination of what happened. I was editing on Wikipedia at my school ISSCH. The IT coordinator found out what was happening and demanded that I cease and remove all information about myself until I left ISSCH. I have not given my password to anyone and my account has not been comprimised. Please unblock me and restore all pages. If you have any more questions, please ask. Dusticomplain/compliment 17:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

WOOOOTTTT!!! I figured it out, and was waiting for you to graduate - did you graduate??? Glad to see you back! I'll work on restoring your subpages - do you want all of them? Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 17:14, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Welcome back Dusti, I am glad you are alright. Well done on graduating as a valedictorian (though I did not know what that was until I just looked it up, the helpfulness of Wikipedia!), I missed you and your return has lightened up my day, that's for sure. [edit] Alright, you asked for it...

I've restructured the AfD coaching page here, and moved most of the old dialog to the talkpage. You're very late with your April 29th assignment, I had no choice but to push the dates out for months 2 and 3...;) Those 4 AfDs should be closed by now, go see how they turned out! [edit] Re: The comment you left on my talk page

I suggest that the person I sent the message to is the one you should be condemning not me. Does he have the right to make judgements without justification? His whole style of writing is provocative, and not at all constructive. Block me if you wish to do so, but I am only responding to what I have read. I dislike ego mania, and he clearly has a chip on his shoulder.

You should still follow policy when making comments. Dusticomplain/compliment 03:30, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Buddhism

Dusti - you undid my revert on the Buddhism rather haphazardly. if you read the talk pages, you'll notice that I have been trying to communicate with other users and construct a decent page, but the recent edits have been being bulldozed by an uncooperative editor who is (apparently) insisting on representing a particular point of view.

I appreciate the fact that you want to protect the page, but please investigate the issue - at the moment you are protecting the disruptive element without regard to page content or reasoning. --Ludwigs2 (talk) 19:29, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

on inspection, perhaps that was an automated action because I removed a 'bot structure,' whatever that is.  :-) I'l investigate and try again.  :-) --Ludwigs2 (talk) 19:31, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

My apologizes if you took my reverts personally, however, in numerous edits, you removed bot structures and information. If you would, please specify what your doing in the edit summary, rather than request someone to look at the talk page, as sometimes editors look past that and at your edits only. In the future, remove nothing that says bot and is in carats (sp?) i.e. < > Dusticomplain/compliment 19:34, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
yes, I had no intention of removing any bot edits - my (admittedly amateur) mistake. I'll correct the issue and reattempt the edit.
apologies for any inconvenience. --Ludwigs2 (talk) 19:38, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Forgive me for jumping in here, but I saw the changes to Buddhism and the odd edit summary about "bot structures". Did you mean the bot-generated reference titles? Those can be edited or removed just like everything else. In fact, they probably should be edited, since the bot doesn't always make very good titles. Thanks. [edit] WP:RFPP.

The 3RR warning should be enough. · AndonicO Engage. 03:05, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

If they continue, do you want me to request blocking or protection of the article? I would lean more towards the protection of the article, as that's the most reasonable way to go. It would force them to talk (well, maybe). Dusticomplain/compliment 03:07, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Full protection (even though they're IPs), unless they've violated 3RR. I doubt they'll continue, though. · AndonicO Engage. 03:11, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RFPP

Not only did I deny the request, but a second admin also denied the request. The message being it doesn't matter what you say, it's not going to convince us. Point Two: We don't need people to ditto requests. We will still look at the page and determine independently whether or not to protect or not. If 20 people want a page protected but there's no activity to justify it, we won't. And no, 21 would make absolutely no difference. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 03:38, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I just wanted to make a point that there is no point is adding "support" to a request because it makes no difference to us. And I only replied because you left a message. I do try to answer them if I can. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 03:46, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

I am looking for someone to be either a co-admin coach with Rlevse or my new admin coach, as his schedule and mine just aren't working out. What do ya think? Dusticomplain/compliment 16:40, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I should probably decline being an "official" admin or co-admin coach, as I'm hoping to be on-wiki only occasionally for a while, in order to deal with some real life stuff. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the coaching program anyway. But, I'd certainly be more than happy to be a sounding board if you ever have questions or are looking for general advice on something specific. Feel free to drop by my talk page or email anytime if you ever want input along those lines. --barneca (talk) 16:48, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok, thanks! Dusticomplain/compliment 17:02, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

(e/c)Hey Dusti. I'll try not to make overly-sweeping comments here regarding coaching, still several people disagree on it. However, you should be aware that "offical" coaching programs with specifically labeled coaches seems to be on the decline. There is a lot of recent evidence of these actually hurting RfAs. You might have your heart set on having an official coach, but you should really consider avoiding a formal program. The reason I say this is because I know of your relationship with Keeper. Going to Keeper from time-to-time for advice and discussion might really be the best way for you to build up your wikipedia skills and potential admin skills. I think continuing in this way is much more natural and would be better for you than having some official coach. I can discuss this more with you if you'd like. I don't see any "obvious" corrections you made. The fact that the current article is not properly sourced isn't a cause for adding even further unsourced material. Dusti reverted your edits properly, and left a courteous message saying so on your talk page. We appreciate the attempt to make the article better, and the grammar changes can be re-made with no further issues. Perhaps if you can find a source, you can re-add your information. Let Dusti or I know if you have any questions. Dusti, sorry to step in here, but I needed a break from a real-life work project ;-) Tan | 39 17:09, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
